Grand Flavour Clothing have gotten behind FTBA for 2012 and hopefully for the future. Chad has written a few things about the brand for all FTBA Clubsmen.
Grand Flavour was established in 2004 by professional bodyboarders Ben Player, Dave Winchester and Chad Jackson. From humble beginnings they began the way any budding enthusiast would for the fashion world by scrapping together what little money they had to produce branded tees, hats and stickers. Using whatever money they made to put back into bigger ranges, market the brand in magazines and put support into local bodyboard clubs. The name ‘Grand Flavour’ came from a combination of being split between the 2 names Grand Clothing and Flavour Clothing. By putting them together and making Grand Flavour Clothing we made a more unique and “out there” title that could only by associated with what we had created.
Our initial dream was simple: make clothes we and the general public would like to wear. As the company grew our dreams grew, with supporting grass roots clubs to backing world tour events and eventually with the pipe dream of supporting the entire World Tour of Bodyboarding. One thing we have done is stay true to our core sport bodyboarding and thrown whatever help we can with local clubs, state and national competition as well as the foundation clubs. Being only online now we can provide a better service to our customers and have more freedom to be involved in supporting bodyboarding and everything we stand for in the community.
It feels great to be able to completely dictate our direction and have full creative control over our own future, which will bring us back to making the clothes you want to wear.
